There was no interest in the earrings it seems, but that wasn't so much a surprise once Kaelen took a better look at her ears. They looked to have never been touched by a heated pin even once. That was perfectly fine, but he did notice something got said again that was said to him before. You don't even know me. Well that was certainly true, but wasn't part of the reason for getting alone together to get to know each other better? There was a bit of good news added into what she said though, and he planned to take advantage of it.
"Well the necklace will be waiting for you to be ready for it then." Kaelen said as he began to put up the jewelry he had pulled out of the box. He had a small fortune in the wooden case in silver trinkets, so even if it was part of his guise it would be a lose if it was stolen. He added as he glanced back at her, "And yes, I will have dinner with you. It is a great honor to have such an attractive woman such as yourself ask me."
Kaelen had finished getting everything back into his box and turned around to face her. He gave her a wink and an impish grin. He knew he was taking advantage of her little joke. He had no shame in it if it meant he could send some more time with the elven beauty instead of eating alone while he watched the crowd. It would help him get a better read on the city as well if he had someone who could explain things to him. It certainly was a blessing right now that he had met the woman in the tavern he was staying in.
"I hope you don't mind my forwardness too much. It was a long, lonely journey coming here and meeting such a young, attractive woman as yourself must be a blessing of the gods." Kaelen said as he stood up. He grinned at her in sincerity as he offered her his hand to help her stand. He added as he did, "The time we spend together, as little or as much, will be what I treasure most from this trip. So can you blame a man for getting carried away?"
