Lasciel moved slowly through the house, taking care to give Kay space while also looking at the particulars of the battle. The timeframe left little in the way of evidence, there were no footprints, no flesh, nothing but root, dirt, and bone. That, however, was enough for a Scout to put together some of what had happened. The family seems to not have been entirely surprised, aside from the fact that her companion had survived, but the fact that those who hunted them hadn't been able to remove their fallen comrade. The roots had to have grown spontaneously, violently, to be able to do this much damage. Lasciel also noted that Kay had not pointed out a corpse for her mother yet. From the other room she heard the words identifying her father's skeleton, but so far her mother was not found. Lasciel didn't hold out hope, however. Witch Hunters were scum, and even if they left behind one of theirs, they likely wouldn't have given up the hunt. She moved after Kay, and stepped into the doorway of the room with her father. Her trained eyes took in the details, cracked skull, and the rest of the room before turning. In less than a moment, her mind clicked on something and Lasciel turned back to the scene. She noticed the skeleton, the arm, a wardrobe... "Kay..." She said gently, laying a hand upon her shoulder, though her eyes were looking at the wardrobe. After e moment, she looked back towards the woman and nodded at the wardrobe. "...would that wardrobe have held anything?" Her eyes alighted upon a box atop it, though she didn't have a clear view as to what it was yet.
