Idmidum - The Hollow Forge
KINGDOM AT A GLANCE: The last remnant of a once vast and advanced dwarven kingdom, and chief of the crafters cities. SIZE AND LOCATION: Medium - City-State in a mountain range to the North-East of the Empire and it's Capitol. WEALTH: Medium. There are many lost arts at Idmidum that are still alive and well, but they are practiced by lesser sons and thus are rare even there, even if found nowhere else. STABILITY: Medium. There is bickering amongst the Clans of succession and power, even if it has never turned to outright conflict. DANGER TO TRAVELERS: Low, if welcomed. High if Elven or any sort of shape-shifter/lycanthropic type. FORM OF GOVERNMENT: Monarchy, & Parliment made up of heads of the most affluent twelve families besides the ruling Clan. FREEDOM AND OPPRESSION: Insular, mildly xenophobic, but free and welcoming to those accepted. Very intellectual and encouraging. COMMON SPECIES: 90% Dwarven. 5% Human. 5% Other. Elves killed on sight. MILITARY FOCUS: Steel-Clad Legions. One of Idmidums oldest traditions next to crafting and engineering of war is the art of it. A small corps of Mountain Guerilla Warfare specialists exist, but are looked at askance and apart of the Hammer-Lord's Legion.
