NAME: Cree

KINGDOM AT A GLANCE: Cree is a tiny blip on the map, inconsequential in every way save for the purpose that it exists as a center for Ravenpost Mail in the west. Cree sits within forest at the base of the mountains east of Mystmarch. It includes a road leading through a small settlement and a town square encircling the Ravenpost tower. Locations around town square to note:
The Black Feather Inn, run by a middle-aged man named Danaul with a noticeable limp to his stride has room for a small party of travelers.
The Wingward Shoppe owned by a halfling named Renly holds supplies and necessities, including tools for mining and equipment for horses. Renly also stands as a fair-skilled Blacksmith. He can make simple things of decent quality and fasten quick repairs for the passerby.
The Ravenpost Tower is kept by a dark elf Mage named Lulaine. As the standing Maester of Ravens she is charged with their care, rearing, training, and held responsible for incoming and outgoing post.
The Barracks once held a retinue of Imperial Guards to keep the town safe. It now stands as the home for hired Hedge Knights and Mercs that handle town trouble. Being only half as full as it once was, the Barracks also serves the role of the town hall and prison. It is where Lord Dagos, the keeper of the town, conducts his business and keeps his charges.
Shawlee's Stable, owned by a young woman named Shawlee and located on the east side of the town, keeps the towns horses - both those of the Guards and those of the Couriers, as well there is space for traveler's mounts. Every so often Shawlee has horses for sale or rent. She can even be talked into purchasing a horse off you for a fair price should you need a little extra coin.
SIZE AND LOCATION: Small. If you ride through it at a trot and blink you'll miss half the town. Located due west of the inland territories of Mystmarch just at the foothills of the mountains.
WEALTH: Low. The town survives off a modest mining and farming economy traded out to Mystmarch. As well, while not directly under the realm of Mystmarch they do owe a great deal of gratitude to the reigning March King who has graciously supported their town since the fall of the Empire.
STABILITY: High.
DANGER TO TRAVELERS: Low.
FORM
OF GOVERNMENT: Ruled by Lord Dagos, an old Small Lord who was once charged by the Emperor for the safety and security of the Ravenpost in the west. The Empire may be gone but Lord Dagos remains.
FREEDOM
AND OPPRESSION: Cree is so small there is hardly any merit to oppressing the few people living there on a permanent basis. The families of Cree are free to live their lives and provide for the town in peace. Any disruptions or unlawfulness is dealt with by Lord Dagos. In times of strife Dagos leads with a mind skilled in battle and has final say. In times of peace he's just a quiet man leading a quiet life.
COMMON
SPECIES: The majority of the town consists of humans. To note there is also a dark elf, a halfling, and the smattering of travelers that come and go of various races.
MILITARY FOCUS: Aside from the small group of Hedge Knights and hired Mercs, Cree has little in the way of Military. Their strategy when under attack is to evacuate to the safety of Mystmarch as quickly as possible.
TECHNOLOGY: Medieval
PLAYER CONTROLLED: No, but if you plan to make a scene here or want someone to write the NPCs of the town for you feel free to tag me in.
