NAME: The Synod of Shatterhold
KINGDOM AT A GLANCE: Not a kingdom but a loose coalition of warlocks, necromancers and demonologists that gather occasionally at the abandoned fortress of Shatterhold in the north-eastern reaches of the former Empire. The coalition members discuss various information throughout the land, share newly acquired knowledge in the forbidden arts and consider their personal agendas among other things.
SIZE AND LOCATION: Tiny.
WEALTH: Each individual has a different levels of wealth but generally in comparison to kingdoms and nations, the combined wealth level of the synod is low.
STABILITY: High. When there are no specific rules, guidelines and policies then internal trouble is hard to stir.
DANGER TO TRAVELERS: Low. The synod members would most rarely witness any travelers through shatterhold. The fortress is well out of the way of any major trade routes. Usual travelers would be people gone lost or those obsessed with wanderlust. Any trespassers that might appear in Shatterhold would find the fortress as it looks - empty. This, of course, could change depending on the case. Yet, being feared and shunned among society for the dark arts they practice, the warlocks prefer keeping any rumors of activity in Shatterhold to be nonexistent.
FORM OF GOVERNMENT: Nonexistent. Just a loose coalition. No one governs nothing but their own self. If any collaborative project arises then a majority vote would be the way forward.
FREEDOM AND OPPRESSION: Members are respectful between each other, freedom of speech rules this coalition.
COMMON SPECIES: Various, there is no specific majority. All races are welcome and none are shunned despite stereotypical prejudices. Such prejudices are left behind.
MILITARY FOCUS: Since it is not a united front or a government per se, there is no military. Every member could have his own take on military. Most would not possess no forces but a few could be nobles with their own lands and troops or could be a rich man with enough coin to hire mercenaries but the synod at itself does not possess any military.
TECHNOLOGY: As described earlier, the members of the Synod come from various different backgrounds. Some would have access to more advanced technologies but others would be quite backwater. Nonetheless, as it is not a kingdom or any type of government, it would be hard and redundant to specify a technology level. ((Unless, of course, an admin would like me to do so))
PLAYER CONTROLLED: Yes and no. At the moment it is only setting wise but as I try to contemplate what character to toss in it might change to yes.
