Leichenfürstenbund NAME: Leichenfürstenbund (Bund of the Corpse Princes; The Corpse Princes)
KINGDOM AT A GLANCE: A confederation of vampire houses (Leichenhaus) who call themselves the Leichenfürsten (Corpse Princes). Together they elect a Prince of the Bund, a rotational head of all the houses, (Reichsfürst). At this time the Prince, as he/she is sometimes known, controls the course of the Bund's foreign policy, elevation of new Corpse Princes, the mediation of disputes and the rallying of houses for war.
SIZE AND LOCATION: The Bund is situated to the far north were it sits across the spine of a ever-winter mountain range, with some on the mountains themselves or in the semi-temperate valley below.
WEALTH: Varies, some Corpse Principalities are relatively wealthy others have decayed into shadows of their former selves
STABILITY: Currently with the new elected Reichsfürst some stability has been enforced. But, political scheming and Blood Feuds are never far behind.
DANGER TO TRAVELLERS: Medium. The Bund is ruled by various laws and rules enforced by the Corpse Princes. Be mindful of the rules and perhaps you will survive your travels. However, there are some Corpse Principalities that are dangerous to enter and are accustomed to devouring the humans that come across its path.
FORM OF GOVERNMENT: Loose confederation of principalities ruled by an elected Prince of All, Reichsfürst. Along with Human vassal states that pay a Blood Tax for protection with the Empire's fall.
FREEDOM AND OPPRESSION: Feudal Noble Dictatorship
COMMON SPECIES: 80% Vampires/Dhampirs, 20% Humans
MILITARY FOCUS: Each Principality has its own army drawn from its banners and together they form the Reichsritterwher (Bund's Knight Army). These armies are mainly made of Vampyr Knights on horseback, Undead Crypt Guards and Human conscripts/mercenaries
TECHNOLOGY: Varies, some are Medieval, Early Medieval, some are Early Renaissance
PLAYER CONTROLLED: Yes and No, will supervise where questions are asked, but, in large part people are free to make their own Corpse Principality within the Leichenfürstenbund.

This keep overlooks a sprawling walled city home to vampires, dhampir and humans both free and thrall. Ruling over it all is the Leichenfürsten Mondwylin von Aschfalblassen twenty-ninth head of Leichenhaus Aschfalblassen. Their sigil is a pale full moon with a black crown in front on top of a black and blue diamond checker background. The Leichenhaus rules one of the many Leichenfürstentum (corpse principalities) that are apart of the Leichenfürstenbund. It is one of the oldest, known as one of the Alten Leichenfürstentum (Old Corpse Principalities). Blassenerbe - Term for Kindred, literally meaning Pale Heritage
Blood Tax - A Tax placed on humans in exchange for protection from the Leichenfürstentum. This tax is taken from those elected by the human towns and counties to pay a tax by way of a pint of blood. This tax is exhorted every new phase of the moon (this is how the vampires track the seasons). This payment becomes an event in which the whole town or county pays homage to the Leichenfürsten through a Blood Communion.

Leichenherr - Literally translates to Undead Lord, title held by pure Vampires. They are the highest ranks before a Leichenfursten N Nachtritter - Dark Knight, usually a Dhampir or Human elevated to a Knight Rank to serve the Leichenhaus (the House of a Corpse Prince). This is the lowest title in the entire Bund.
W Warmblütig - Condescending term for non-vampyric races, literally means Warm Bloods.

He would take the mountain region as the name of his house and with his blood brothers, forged from his own drakeblood whom vampyr codexes call Gangotth and Raginherr, would descend from the mountains to the valley lands below.
