NAME: Imperial Duchy of Tyre
KINGDOM AT A GLANCE: Tyre started as an Imperial Port and Shipyard, as it is situated on the southern coast in an excellent harbor. After a disaster struck a nearby dwarven citadel situated in the small coastal mountain range, Tyre took them in. After a few generations, the Port of Tyre became a city in its own right. A distinctive divide, architecural in nature, separated what had been the port and the rest of the town. The port remained purly styled in the height of Imperial architecture, while the rest of the city was a hybrid of Imperial and Dwarven designs. With the fall of the Mephiri Empire, Tyre has grown in prominence. The city remains under military governance, with the ranking officer gaining the title of Duke of Tyre. The city boasts the finest military schools for Infantry and Naval operations on the continent, which includes schools for Earth magic and Storm and Water magic, for the Army and Navy respectively.
SIZE AND LOCATION: Medium, the city itself is quite large for a city, and they control and patrol the surrounding farmland as well. It is located here.
WEALTH: Medium, trade does flow through the city, but not as much as the nearby free cities.
STABILITY: High, the city and surrounding country are controlled by the military.
DANGER TO TRAVELERS: Low to general travellers, as the countryside around the city is patrolled by the Legions, and the waterways nearby are patrolled by the navy.
FORM OF GOVERNMENT: Military Feudal
FREEDOM AND OPPRESSION: The people of Tyre enjoy a fair amount of freedom, so long as they abide the law. Criminals are punished harshly, often being penalized with hard labor, exile, or death.
COMMON SPECIES: Dwarves: 33%, Humans: 31%, Elves: 12%, Hybrid: 14%, Other: 10%
MILITARY FOCUS: The military focus in Tyre is two fold. They have been the premiere navy shipyard and station since before the fall of the Mephiri Empire. They still retain pride in their shipwrights and sailors. Their second focus is their heavy infantry, heavily influenced with Dwarven tactics.
TECHNOLOGY: Early Renaissance
PLAYER CONTROLLED: Loosely

County Dawning
County Dawning is the county at the furthest northern point of the Imperial Duchy of Tyre. The famed infantry of the Duchy is a little less prevalent here, as the County is also the seat of the Church of Resplendent Dawn. Many of the warriors the County produces train through various Orders of the Church, with a few going to Tyre to become Imperial Infantry. Current Ruler:Alexa Dawning, Countess Dawning, Cleric of Thyra -Alexa inherited the County from her parents, who died when she was very young. She was raised by her advisers and the Church. When she came of age to truly inherit the County, she was already a fully trained Cleric of Thyra. Church of Resplendent Dawn-The Church of Resplendent Dawn is an organization devoted to the Gods of Ardell. Ostensibly, every God of Ardell is welcome to have an Order within the Church, but in practice it is mostly the Gods of Good and Light that keep Orders publicly within the Church. Order of Thyra-The Order of Thyra is devoted to the Goddess of Healing and Light. These Clerics receive little training in the way of combat, usually restricted to fists for melee, and crossbows for ranged. The time that other Orders spend on weapons training, is instead used to instill mundane medical knowledge into the Clerics, making them excellent and devoted healers. Order of Roxayne-The Order of Roxayne is devoted to the Goddess of Nobility, Rulership, and Justice. The Paladins of this Order are trained in melee combat for the most part, preferring swords and shields to ranged weapons. They are also given extensive training in administering Justice, as apprentice Paladins are often sent out on journeys to the surrounding lands to provide arbitration. Order of Hefayne-The Order of Hefayne is devoted to the God of Travel and Community. Paladins of this Order are given extensive training in archery. In fact, this Order recruits very young to begin training at a very young age. Every year, a group of trainees is taken abroad by their instructor to travel for a season or two. These recruits sometimes escort apprentice Paladins of Roxayne for part of their journeys, but often go further afield. Order of Corrack-The Order of Corrack is devoted to the God of Smith work, Defense, and Strategy. Clerics of this Order are the most akin to the Tyran infantry that supplement the Orders in defense of Country Dawning. They are trained in combat with weapons that can be used as tools, mainly focusing on the hammer and axe. Clerics of Corrack are also trained extensively in the finer points of strategy, usually focusing on defensive and siege tactics, and are also trained smiths. The armory of County Dawning is almost universally filled with arms and armor made by this Order.
