NAME: Jaromir
GENDER: Male
AGE: Unknown, appears to be late 20's
SPECIES: Human
DESCRIPTION: He stands at just over six feet tall, with long, brown hair.
PROFESSION: Vedmak
WEALTH: Lower-class. He has few possessions of his own; his plate armor and sword were provided by the Vedmak Syndicate. His horse is his last personal possession.
COMBAT ROLE: Spellsword
STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:
+Resistant to enchantments - as a Vedmak, Jaromir can resist most malign curses or enchantments that are cast upon him. It depends on the strength of the caster, however. He is still new to his craft, so extremely powerful demonic spirits may be able to break through his magic.
+Swordsmanship - he has some skill with a blade.
- Weak to white magic - Dabbling in necromancy and other associated forms of black magic has necessarily tainted his soul. As a result, although he is also skilled in white magic, he is vulnerable to it himself.
MAJOR MOTIVATIONS: At this point, Jaromir is purely mercenary. He sees his work as a way to make a living, and little else - for now.
MAGIC: Jaromir has been trained in the rudimentary arts of both white and black magic. He can cleanse spirits, exorcise spirits from bodies, and cure basic illnesses with his magic. He is also trained in necromancy and can commune with the dead, though he is not yet powerful enough to reanimate corpses. His magic also makes him resistant to most curses.
BACKGROUND: Jaromir is a Vedmak, a group of spellswords from the East who specialize in slaying demons, witches, vampires, and other such malign spirits. The Vedmak Syndicate trains its pupils in swordsmanship and basic magic skills, who then travel the land offering their services as mercenaries. Due to the Vedmak's use of magic, they are sometimes viewed with suspicion by the populace. It is also possible to get into debt with the Vedmak Syndicate through use of their services, which has resulted in men becoming thralls to the Syndicate even after death. For this reason, the Syndicate is seen as particularly unscrupulous by the people of the East - one should be absolutely sure that they really require a Vedmak's services before they call upon them.
Jaromir's story is unknown. He presumably graduated from the Syndicate recently and began wandering the earth looking for contracts. It is rumored that Jaromir himself was once in debt with the Syndicate, and faced the decision to either join the Syndicate or become a thrall. Jaromir has neither confirmed nor denied these rumors.
