Kingmakers has been pretty slow for a while. Not dead, but slow, and that's just how it goes. Most of you have run into important IRL time sinks, either temporary or permanent. And that's good: I prefer to associate with people who have their priorities straight.
You know, for a niche board run on free software by a guy who has a bunch of work/family/community responsibilities, we've done pretty well. A few days ago we passed our three-month mark, we've made fourteen hundred posts, and some of the characters and settings and plots created here stack up pretty favourably in the fantasy genre. I'm proud of the friendships that got made and the content that we created.
I'll keep on using Kingmakers to write fantasy, and I'd invite all of you to do the same whenever life gives you a spare moment. Whether you can or can't find the time, though, be proud of what you've built here. Even if the board dies entirely at some point, I'll keep it up so you can look back at your kingdoms and characters with a smile. Who knows: maybe someday you'll adapt your creations and we'll see them on the shelves. Or heck, maybe someday a bigger, better fantasy board will come around and spark your fancy, and maybe they'll accept character transfers. My point is that you've created things that are bigger and more enduring than one little whimsical website.
Thank you all, and carry on.

Over all I haven't been as involved with KM as much as I would have liked to be.
But I have been observing it quietly from the sidelines and I really have been pleased with its progress. It might not have been as active and intense as Chaos... but in my eyes that is a good thing - because it also meant that the salt and drama levels were always at an all-time low.
Thinking about the amount of fun people have had, the creativity they could express and without having to worry about any substantial drama?
I think we can call Kingmaker a success on all fronts.

A continuing success too, as most of those here are from Chaos. Along with that comes that Chaos is running and event right now and its the more busy time of the year for studies and its the rush from the down in business from the post christmas season.
It was to be expected and we will all return to our former activity, something I am sure of.
Back to shadow demons and Vampire Tournaments with you people.

Just a brief lapse because I got busy. I'm still here and kicking.

I've only just arrived, but I hope this site continues to boost its activity. It's been difficult finding a fantasy board that is both active and allows a good deal of creative space, so I hope this continues. I'll help in any way I can.
