Harrier Wren: Research Notes
My final take from the Vaundsburg Imperial Library on Uberghof Island: 27 books, 9 parchment scrolls, 4 papyrus scrolls, 2 metal scrolls. I've documented their appearance, dimensions, and resonance. A Greater Abjuration of Delving shows that seven books and both metal scrolls contain or are contained within wards, traps, or undirected efflux. One book causes an especially large perturbation.
Kelvath's Third Principle says to start with the lesser manifestations, and Kelvath wasn't wrong. Vaundsburg magic is largely alien to me. I've rated one book as carrying a minor but structured magical signature, and placed it on a salted table.
I am attempting to open the book - yes, I'll slow down. Thank you, al-Kaateb. I'm opening the book using feridwel-skin gloves. The scales are sparking, but it's not uncomfortable. I'm noting a distinct tri-lobed pattern in the reagent salt.
