NAME: Ghazeron
GENDER: Male
AGE: Ancient
SIZE: Massive
SPECIES: Dragon-Centaur
PROFESSION: Demi-god?
WEALTH
None. Ghazeron has no need for wealth or possessions beyond his axe.
COMBAT ROLE
Ghazeron is a massive walking half-dragon/half-giant being from a bygone era of history. His combat role is to smash things, blast things with lightning, and roar in the face of danger. Storms follow him wherever he goes, but besides Lightning he doesn't control the powerful thunderstorms that proceed him.
CHARACTERISTICS
Massive: His size and strength are comparable to that of most Dragons. He's big, he's strong and he has a long reach. He's also really easy to hit with arrows and the like due to his size.
Lord of Thunder: Lightning and Thunder fuel him just as he fuels them.
Old: The affairs of mortals do not concern the Thunder that Walks. Every time he is roused from his slumber a new kingdom rules and his wars have long since been over. He is slow to get moving, but once he does momentum doesn't stop.
MOTIVATIONS
None anymore. He seems to lament rising, as though he does not of his own choosing and even in his waking years is a recluse, remaining in the mountains for the most part. Ghazeron rises from his slumber at the call of the Thunder only to wreak havoc, eat, or on rare circumstance to provide guidance for the weary mage to have roused him.
MAGIC
Aura of Storms: Ghazeron is always proceeded by a massive storm when he fights. Lightning strikes shatter the sky and pelt the land, thunder rumbles to shake buildings. Rain or snow falls heavy, and the wind howls from the far north. As he calms, so to do the storms. It is unknown whether he is travels with these storms, or if the storms travel with him.
Lightning Magic: He can summon lightning strikes and thunder bolts from the sky.
APPEARANCE
Ghazeron is a very large centaur-esque creature with the body of a Dragon and the waist and torso of a giant humanoid being. He has long curling ram horns on his brow, a long dark mane from his head to the middle of his back where his back spines begin. He has a long lash-like prehensile tail. His back legs are fairly short but very muscular, able to support his full weight allowing him to walk on two legs if he desired. His middle legs feature three long dragon like claws but are able to manipulate objects like hands or be used to run on all fours. Finally his fore arms are humanoid arms ending in dulled and broken claws.
HISTORY
Ghazeron heralds from a bygone era of the land, a monster forgotten by most of history. When he slumbers, the mountains form atop him; and when he rises they rumble and shift. His life as far back as even the myths tell of indicate he sleeps for centuries, blissfully unaware of the world and its troubles only to rise for a handful of years before returning to his slumber.
Some herald him as a demi-god of Storms and Thunder, others as a hellspawn, others still as the God Incarnate of Centaurs due to his appearance. This could all be true or false, Ghazeron rarely speaks with mortals to give his interpretation of his role in the world.
Some scholars of the oldest lores have several recorded quotes, said to be directly taken from the Thunder, himself.
"Down the long ages I have come, having seen the rise and fall of you lesser races and your petty kingdoms. I've laid waste to knights and kings, burned cities and routed armies in my time. I could tell you much of the world that you have forgotten and more that your kind never knew. But I think not. You and yours exist for nothing more than my amusement and the occasional trinket that catches my eye. I see little else of worth about you."- The Thunder that Walks speaking to a Mage
"Another age dawns and once more I must fight for a cause that was never my own. As the long years have worn me as they wear the mountain, as the tide shatters the shore, and as the storm breaks over the sky, I grow weary of endless battle. Yet the only time I feel alive is when I face a foe worthy of killing me."- Ghazeron to a Knight at the Dawn of the Mapheri Empire
"Too long have I slumbered to be of use now. The time of my kind is long since gone, the time of the mortals has come."- Ghazeron to an Elven Scholar sometime before the Collapse of the Mapheri Empire
